Macungie's Earth Day Project posted on 06/01/2012
On Sunday, April 22nd, the first grade students at Macungie Elementary School participated in an Earth Day community project. Weis Market in Macungie donated 90 brown bags to the first grade students. Each student decorated one bag with his or her own Earth Day awareness message. Weis Market then distributed these decorated brown bags to their first 90 customers on Earth Day. This served as a great method for the first graders to share their earth friendly messages with the community!
