East Penn School District is looking for volunteers to serve on the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Advisory Committee. The committee will meet on a quarterly basis and provide the district with guidance regarding STEM activities/topics for the students. The goal of this committee is to maintain and improve communication between the district and its community.

East Penn School District will be holding kindergarten registration for the 2012-2013 school year during the week of March 26, 2012. In order to be enrolled in kindergarten, your child must be five years old on or before September 12, without exception. The East Penn School District hereby offers notice of its intent to adopt the 2012-2013 preliminary budget at its regularly scheduled 7:30 PM Board meeting on January 23, 2012 in the Administrative Offices at 800 Pine St., Emmaus, PA 18049. The proposed preliminary budget is available for public inspection at the District Business Office, 800 Pine St., Emmaus, PA, regular work days between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

The preliminary budget is one step in a long budget process. A proposed final 2012-13 budget must be adopted in May and the actual final budget will be adopted in June of 2012. Many changes can be made to the budget prior to that time. For more information, visit the Budget webpage.

The "Play All Seasons" (PAS) after school program will again be available starting in February. It is open to all EPSD students in grades K-5 and will be offered at Willow Lane Elementary. For more information about the program, please download the PAS flyer.

The East Penn School District approved plans to refinance the Series A of 2006 bond issue to save $1,340,021 over the life of the bonds. For more information about this refinance, download the supporting documentation.

The East Penn School District’s Spring 2012 Community Education classes are open for registration! Go to the Community Education page to register for classes. A PDF of the class listings, including descriptions, is located on the right hand side of the page in a green box labeled Class Descriptions (PDF). Brochures can also be found in our schools, at local libraries, community centers, doctor’s/dentist offices, etc. The registration deadline is January 22, 2012.
