Principal's Greeting 2011 Hello Everyone! Well, summer’s nearly gone, at least according to the school calendar, and it’s the time children’s thoughts turn to somewhat more important matter, such as: where they might be sitting on the bus, will the school menu remain the same, will there be any chance of getting some extra recess out of this year’s teacher, can they eat lunch with their best friend and of course . . . whether or not, this will be the year that Mr. Reiss will actually wear long pants before winter arrives. Ah, the allure of the unknown. For my part, however, I’d like to first, welcome everyone, both students and parents, back for the beginning of, what we feel will be, a truly outstanding school year here at Alburtis. I say this with some reflection on many things that occurred in our school last year which will, in essence, serve as our launch pad for 2011-12. So, where do I start? Where else? The kids! This year marks the beginning of my 21st year as an elementary principal and my 4th year at Alburtis. I will share with you how much I enjoy my interactions with your children. There is no other job I’d rather have and in no other school I’d rather be. Your children are awesome! We also have an absolutely wonderful Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) that continues to work with the school to help acquire things that supplement the education of every student in the school. These range from educational materials to field trips, assemblies and special events. These parents do wonderful things for your children. I’m also glad to say that, at this writing, our enrollment for the upcoming school year is hovering around 340 students, but it feels as though this enrollment fluctuates almost every day. So, the building is ready. The staff is ready. I know that the kids are ready. I look forward to seeing all of you very soon. Yours Truly, Dr. Ronald P. Renaldi |
