2013 LVC LACROSSE ALL-CONFERENCE SELECTIONS
Congratulations to Sami Abel, Marc Feldman, Cory Hill, Garrett Miers, and Kiera Godusky who were honored between games at the LVC LAX Championships.
GIRLS TRACK COMPLETES UNDEFEATED SEASON. WINS LVC REGULAR SEASON AND CHAMPIONSHIP MEET TITLES.
BLAX DEFEATS PARKLAND 6-5 IN OT (4/25/13)
Peter Conway's last second goal in OT, carried the Hornets to a 6-5 win over Parkland and into first place in the LVC. Leading the charge for the Hornets was Sr. Mark Feldman who scored 3 goals and added an assist. According to head coach Scott Ketcham, "Mark wouldn't let us lose. He willed us to win". This weekend Emmaus travels to Radnor HS to play Lower Merion in the Katie Samson Classic. Next Monday the Hornets travel to Upper Dublin before ending the regular season at perennial power CCHS.

BASEBALL REMAINS UNDEFEATED (4/09/13)
Jr. Josh Lemaster threw a 5 inning shut-out in the Hornets 15-0 win over Northampton.
SOFTBALL SUFFERS 1ST LOSS (4/09/13)
Northampton was able to do what no other team could this spring, which was to limit the Hornets to only 2 hits in their 2-0 loss to the Kids.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL REMAINS UNDEFEATED IN LVC (4/09/13)
Strong play by Charlie Jerry and Jake Reynolds enabled the Hornets to stay unbeaten in the LVC via a 28-26, 25-15, 25-22 win over Northampton.
BLAX GOES TO LONG ISLAND AND RECORDS BIG WIN (4/06/13)
Growing up on Long Island, Head Coach Scott Ketscham understands what it takes to build his Hornets into a power program. A big part of the process is to travel to lacrosse hot-beds and play top level competition. This past Saturday, Ketcham did just that taking his young Hornets to Long Island to play perenial power Jericho and came away with a 7-5 win. The senior class came up big with Garrett Miers (20 saves), Marc Feldman (4 goals) and Drew Phillips (2 goals) leading the way.
GLAX DROPS HARD FOUGHT GAME (15-9) TO WYOMING SEMINARY (4/6/13)
Attack Samantha Abel and Middy Kiera Godusky double-team a Wyoming Seminary defender during Hornets loss this weekend. Emmaus was led by Kaitlyn Wills (6 goals) and Dakata Walck (2 goals/1 assists).
BLAX DEFEATS CCHS, 10-6 (4/4/13)
In an early season match-up between LVC preseason favorites, Scott Ketcham's young Hornets overcame a shakey 1st quarter to defeat the Vikings 10-6. Trailing 3-1 early in the opening quarter, the Green and Gold dominated play on their way to an important conference victory. The Hornets improved their overall record to 3-2 (2-1 LVC) and travel to Jerico, LI this Saturday.

Stingy defensive play by Maddie Schantz and Sidney Wilson led the Hornets to an 18-2 victory over Liberty, giving Head Coach Nancy DeBellis her first official win.

Shannon Petrunak and her track & field team raised over $40,000 this past Friday for the St. Baldrick's Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research. This brings the team's 3 year total to almost $150,000. Congratulations Shannon and student-athletes for a job well done.

BOYS SWIMMING WINS 7th CONSECUTIVE DISTRICT XI 3A TITLE: Gold medalists Robert Bishop, Andrew Bond, Carter Paules, Greg Richie, and Cody Wimmer led the Hornets to a 481.5 - 437.5 victory over Parkland and their 7th consecutive championship. Also earning medals were Matt Kline, David Larson, Marc Primelo, and Thomas Wang. The girls were runner-up for the 12th consecutive year defeating 3rd place Liberty 343.5 - 287 and finishing behind Parkland 457.5 - 343.5. Morgan Weigner earned a gold medal while Maura Brennan, Tori Bingham, Claire Frank, Taylor Iobst, Natalie Schaeffer and Casey Young also medaled.
COLE FRANKLIN EARNS TRIP TO PIAA WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS: Freshmen sensation Cole Franklin finished 3rd at the NE Regionals and earned a hard fought trip to the state championships in Hershey this coming weekend. Franklin (30-11) pinned Nazareth's Sage Karam in the consolation final at 138 lbs.
