ENVIROTHON 2013

Over 200 students from across our region competed in the 2013 Environthon held at the Poole Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday, May 4th. Eyer sent two teams, with Team 1 scoring 5 first places, and Team 2 scoring 4 first places and 1 second place. Topics covered were forestry, wildlife, soil management, aquatics, and livestock management. WAY TO GO, EYER!!!!!!!
IRON PIGS BASEBALL GAME UPDATE

The baseball game which was rained out on April 19th has been rescheduled to Tues. August 27th at 7:05pm. Eyer's Vocal Ensemble will be singing the "National Anthem" and the current 8th grade students will be invited back to perform at the game. If you are attending the rescheduled game, you should already have returned the April 19th tickets to Eyer. New tickets will be issued and will be sent home via students before the end of the school year. If families choose NOT to participate in the August 27th event, they can redeem their tickets - in person - at the Iron Pigs Stadium for any 2013 regular season game, as long as there is availability. No refunds will be issued for the tickets.
BOGO Book Fair!

The Sprijng Buy-one-Get-one Book Fair will be held in the Eyer Library (IMC) from May 13th to May 17th! Many new releases and other favorites will be available. This is a great opportunity to stock up on books for summer reading.

NO 8TH GRADER ATTENDING THE DANCE MAY LEAVE FOR DANCE-RELATED ACTIVITIES BEFORE 9TH PERIOD ON MAY 24TH. THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS WILL BE TUESDAY, JUNE 11, 2013. THIS DAY WILL BE A HALF-DAY FOR STUDENTS, WITH DISMISSAL AT 11:00 AM FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS. DISMISSAL FOR ELEMENTARY AND AM KINDERGARTEN WILL BE AT 12:00 NOON. (THERE WILL BE NO PM KINDERGARTEN.) NO LUNCH WILL BE SERVED THAT DAY.
EPSD Summer Fitness Program 2013

Fitness camp is a five-week program available for students entering grades 1-6. The camp will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from July 9 through August 8 at Willow Lane Elementary. Homework Club Pick-up Info for parents

- Parents, please be aware that Homework Club will be dismissing at 4:00. The Activity Bus arrives at 4:00 and we don’t want children in the parking lot for 15 minutes prior to pick up. If you need to pick your child up before 4:00, kindly send a note with your child and we will release your child at your convenience. If you have any questions, call Deb Keeler at 610-965-1697.
