Dr Attinello

Greetings!

Welcome to Lincoln Elementary School in Emmaus, home of the Lincoln Lions, and one of seven elementary schools in the East Penn School District. Our school houses 430 students in Kindergarten through Grade five and the staff includes seventeen classroom teachers, three Learning Support Teachers, an Instructional Support Teacher, Guidance Counselor, School Nurse, and 17 support personnel. The three-floor facility consists of seventeen classrooms, two small group instruction rooms, an all purpose room, music and art rooms, a library, a computer lab, and large paved and grassy play areas.

Lincoln is a very unique and diverse neighborhood school on the normally quiet Seem Street in Emmaus. In the morning and the late afternoon, however, the front of the school is teaming with bus activity and the newly designed Lincoln Learning Garden area is brimming with parents, siblings in strollers, and family pets on leashes, assembled to bid farewell before school and to eagerly greet their children at the end of the day.

From the first day in September, through the last day in June, the school is filled with academic challenges that include a focus on STEM and Project based learning, along with special events and unexpected surprises from the outstanding staff and dynamic Parent Teacher Organization at Lincoln. The students at our school are encouraged to follow three Pawsitive Steps: Be Respectful; Be Responsible; and Be Safe through our school-wide positive behavior support program (SWPBS). SWPBS is a team-based proactive approach to teach, monitor, and support appropriate school behavior for all students. The program focuses on preventing problem behavior of all students at the school-wide, classroom, non-classroom and individual levels.

From Kindergarten orientation in August and the fall parade in October; to the monthly Lion’s Pride Award and Bucket Filler Ceremonies; Principal’s 100 Club; choral and band concerts; book fairs; Family Bingo Night; science, cultural, and holiday assemblies; real and virtual field trips; Autism, US troop support, and PTO Fundraisers; the Spring Festival; and our outstanding annual spring musical; the Lincoln students, teachers, parents, and neighbors work together to make learning at Lincoln challenging and fun.

This year is going to be another terrific school year at Lincoln! I look forward to working with the wonderful students, staff, and families of this community! If you are in the area, please stop into my office to say hello!

Best regards,

Dr. Jacqueline R. Attinello, Principal
