Hello and welcome to our classroom home page! I am Mrs. Bishop, your teacher this year. This is my 6th year at Macungie, and my 8th year teaching full-time! I have taught 2nd grade for 6 years, 1st grade for 1 year, and this will be my first year teaching an entire year in 4th grade! I am very excited to teach 4th grade and you this year!! I student taught 5th grade (close to 4th) and loved it (not to mention, it was my favorite grade when I was in school...good ol' Miss Christy at Sugartown Elementary in Malvern)! I received my bachelor's and master's degrees from Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA (near Villanova...few have heard of Rosemont)! I also have 30 credits completed towards a doctoral degree in education. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time playing outside with my boys, exercising with friends, spending time with my other family in PA, and visiting my sister in Florida!
I am the proud mother of two amazing boys, Nolan (8th grade) and Owen (3rd grade). They are both very athletic and brilliant! They keep me busy and I'm grateful for their zest for life!

We have a great year ahead of us with lots of learning, growing, and fun! This will be a place where you can learn about what we're up to in the classroom, find out about upcoming events, access forms, etc. Please visit this page as often as you like.
Please access the school district's home page for forms related to things such as educational trip requests, menus, lunch money balances, the volunteer affidavit and clearances, which are mandatory if you plan on entering the classroom or attending field trips throughout the school year, etc.
Please see the other pages in the menu for more information about this program...

If at any time throughout the year, you wish to contact me, simply send me an E-mail at abishop@eastpennsd.org, call me through the office number (610.965.1617), send a note with your child, or catch me at the end of the day. I will make every effort to get back to you as soon as possible!!
By working as a team, we can provide your child with a healthy, successful, and happy learning experience this year!!!
