Welcome to Family and Consumer Science!

The FCS curriculum strives to teach important life skills that students will use far into the future. 

Family and Consumer Science Goals for Students:

  • Students will become more independent citizens
  • Students will apply content learned in FCS to real life
  • Students will practice creative problem solving

Each student will progress through three different areas of the curriculum.  In each grade, students will begin in a classroom environment where they will learn a different topic every year.  After the classroom portion, the class will be split in half to rotate through the foods and sewing areas.
