Eyer Middle School Instrumental Music

First Band Meeting:

  • Band members will meet for the first time 9th period on Wednesday, August 31 (day 3).  
  • All band members are to attend and do not need their instrument.  
Second Band Meeting:
  • The next band rehearsal after that will be 9th period on Wednesday, September 7 (day 6).  
  • Students will need their instrument for the Sept. 7 rehearsal.

Beginning September 8 students will follow the normal schedule for band rehearsals (days 3, 4, and 6).  Students who are in band and chorus will be given a special paper with the schedule on it and are to follow that schedule only.


All band members will need a 1/2 inch or 1 inch 3-ring binder for the school year.  Dark colors (black or navy blue) are preferred as these binders will be on stage during performances.

Binders with an inside pocket are preferred but not required.

Students must have this binder in class by Thursday, September 15.


Performance Dates for the 2016-2017 School Year

Please put these dates on your calendar NOW so to avoid conflicts.

Please note the date change for the Spring Concert (date changed 6/21/16)

  • Friday, September 30, 2016 - Middle School Band Night
  • Wednesday, December 14, 2016 - Winter Band/Orchestra Concert
  • Thursday, May 4, 2017 - Spring Concert (this is a different date than previously released; the district asked that the concert be moved to May 4)
  • Friday, May 5, 2017 - Band/Orchestra Trip
  • Monday, May 29, 2017 - Memorial Day Service in Macungie Park
