Fall 2015 Upcoming Events:

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF: We will be distributing UNICEF collection boxes at LMMS the week before trick-or-treat in Emmaus, Macungie, Lower Macungie, and Alburtis. While trick-or-treating, students can collect change or dollars to benefit this worthwhile charity that helps needy children in the US and around the world. Emmaus trick-or-treat is Thurs. 10/29/15, 6-8 pm, and Alburtis, Lower Macungie, and Macungie is Fri. 10/31/15, 6-8 pm.

Macungie Halloween Parade - Sat., October 24, 2015 - 7:00 p.m.  More information will come home shortly. We usually meet at 6 pm at Macungie Elementary School to get ready, and then we walk over to Shoemaker School to join the parade line. I will be sending home permission slips, and I would really appreciate a few parents who would be willing to walk the parade and help chaperone. Thanks for considering it!

Cops 'n Kids Book Drive - In November we collected elementary school aged books in a project with the Key Club at Emmaus High School, for the Allentown Cops 'n Kids program. The awesome families and staff at LMMS collected over 900 books, about 320 bookmarks, and about 60 homemade cards! They will be taken to Sheriden Elementary School in Allentown, where they will be distributed to needy children. Many books will be the children's only Christmas present! Builders club will also be making cards and bookmarks to send along! Thanks to all who donated and helped with this worthy literacy cause!

WOW!  On Oct. 26, 2013, we marched in the Macungie Halloween Parade. We won a $25 prize!   Thanks so much to the parents  who marched with us!  The Builders Club banner was proudly displayed, and we wore hard hats, "tool belts," construction clothes, and carried inflatable hammers. A special "shout out" to Dries D0-It Center in Macungie for donating toolbelts! We had fun giving out candy, and many thoughtful students even gave away their own hats and inflatable hammers! What a great group of thoughtful young people! I was so proud to be associated with them.
Happy Halloween!
