Want to join in the fun and learning?
Be a classroom volunteer!
There are a few ways to volunteer but all volunteers need a notarized affidavit.
Mystery Readers are volunteers who want to spend 10-15 minutes reading to our class. You may choose 1 or 2 short stories to read aloud. To be a Mystery Reader, all you need a volunteer affidavit on file in the WES office. Our Mystery Readers usually come in to read on Fridays. The kids enjoy when loved ones share their favorite stories!
Station Helpers are volunteers who come to run or supervise a work station. All materials and directions are already prepared at school, all you need to bring is yourself. Our class has stations almost every day of the week so the opportunities to be a Station Helper are plenty! In order to be a Station Helper, you need FBI and Child Abuse clearences on file in the administrative offices as well as a notarized affidavit on file in our WES office.
Occasional/Party Helpers are volunteers who would like to be a part of classroom parties or special events (i.e. field trips, field day, etc.) These days would not be nearly as successful without all our wonderful parent/family member volunteers! To be an occasional helper, you need FBI and Child Abuse clearences on file in the administrative offices as well as a notarized affidavit on file in our WES office.
