Hello! I am the ESL teacher for Shoemaker and Macungie Elementary School. This is the start of my 19th year in East Penn School District. I graduated from Shippensburg University with a B.S. in education, and went to graduate school at Lehigh University for my Reading Specialist degree. I taught in a 6th grade and 4th grade classroom for 11 years, before getting my ESL certification from Kutztown Unversity.
I currently work with children who speak another language other than English. I help with speaking, listening reading and writing strategies. I work with grades K through 5 in a small group setting. Some students have recently moved to America and are learning basic English, and others students are focusing on reading and writing skills. I absolutely love working with the children and helping them grow academically throughout the year.
