Speech Sound Development


Are you concerned about your child's production of a specific speech sound?  You're wondering if it is developmental, meaning the speech sound error is typical for children of a given age, or if it is indicative of an articulation disorder.  The following chart shows the typical age range for the development of each of the 24 English speech sounds:
