Girls on The Run

Girls On Track is a 10 week program which exposes girls in grades 6-8 to healthy lifestyle choices. Some of the more relevant issues include: setting goals, addressing challenges and overcoming barriers, building self-esteem and positive body image, understanding good nutrition and confronting peer pressure. The program will be coached by Mrs. Genise Bishop - 7th grade School Counselor and her intern Ms. Sabrina Hallick. Lesson plans will be provided over the course of the program and will culminate with a 5k running event. Girls on Track will focus on giving girls time and space to be themselves, a place to learn, grow, laugh, run and hang out together! We look forward to getting this information out to your daughters...a follow-up selection process will then take place. Any questions, please call 610-965-1608.

Teen Screen

Teen Screen is a nationally recognized program to identify risk factors associated with depression, anxiety, alcohol and substance abuse.

Teen Screen will be offered to Eyer 8th graders whose parents granted permission. The computerized screening will take place second period on November 1,7,8,9,and 14. Students will receive a pass to a computer lab where they will take approximately a 30 minute screening.

Teens whose answers reveal a potential problem and teens who ask for help will meet with a psycologist or school counselor in private to determine if further evaluation would be helpful.
