Treats may be brought in for birthdays but the treat must be a non-food item. No food (including candy) may be brought in as a birthday treat. If a food or candy item is sent in, it will be returned home with your child.
If you are planning to send in a treat, it may be sent in on your child's actual birthday.
Some ideas for what students could bring in are: pencils, erasers, stickers, bubbles, or party bags, etc. Students may also bring in their favorite book on their birthday and I can read that book to the class as a "treat" for the students.
If your child's birthday is during the summer, they will get a chance to celebrate their birthday in the month of June. More information about that will be sent home towards the end of the school year.
If you are planning to send something in for your child's birthday, please let me know a day or 2 before either by sending a note in or sending an email.
If you have any questions, please contact me!
