Mrs. Yencho is returning....Monday, May 7th! Get ready for new seats, new projects, and end of the year fun! Thank you to Mr. Dunbar and all of my parents for their support while I was gone. I am really glad to be returning to the classroom! Hope the kids are ready to have me back too!

Reading calendars were sent home in the W.C.U.S. folders this week. Students should be reading at least15 minutes per night. They can color in the daily squares if they read their allotted time. Students who meet the monthly goal will be rewarded with a coupon to the EMMAUS CREAMERY!

PSSA 3rd Grade

Dates: March 12th - 16th

I am so excited to be working with your 3rd grade students this year! I have been teaching for fifteen years in a variety of grade levels and school districts. I am happy to be back living in my hometown of Macungie, and teaching at Jefferson Elementary School! I have been married for ten years, and have a 7 year old daughter, Hannah, and a 6 year old son, Lucas. In my spare time, I enjoy visiting the park with my family, shopping, traveling to the beach, and cooking or baking with my kids. I am currently enrolled in graduate classes at Cabrini College, and in two years will have completed my classes and internship in order to graduate with a Master's and Principalship degree. I will be working closely this year under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Scalzo, and know I will have many positive experiences here at Jefferson. In addition, Mrs. Confer and I will be walking in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 60 mile walk in October. We are excited to be training and participating in such a wonderful event to raise money and awarness related to cancer.
