Mrs. Desiderio, M.Ed., Principal, W.E.S.

Welcome to another incredible year in your child’s school career! I would like to take this opportunity
to welcome you and your child to what is sure to be an amazing year at Wescosville Elementary School.

This year I invite you to join us in a collaborative journey with your child. The opportunities we will have to work together are limitless, but moreover our primary focus will always be what is best for children. We will be working as a team to help develop both the academic and social skills needed for your child to become a successful school student. I welcome your talents, creativity, and feedback to compliment our efforts, which will make this year the best it can be for everyone.

At W.E.S. we pride ourselves in creating a community of learners that feel safe and valued in their environment. Proven to be successful over the past few years at LMES, we will be utilizing the Fish Philosophy to shape our attitudes and ultimately inform our behaviors at W.E.S. You will have a chance to meet the one and only mascot of the Fish Philosophy, Pete the Perch, who I am hoping will touch your lives in a positive and meaningful way. Additionally, we will begin to focus on a few key concepts from the Fish Philosophy that will guide our work and play from the very first day. These include “choosing a great attitude” each and every day, “making someone’s day” both at home and at school, learning to “play” while we are learning to make each experience memorable, and understanding how to “be there” for all of our new friends this year.

This is just a glimpse of the many great things our talented team has in store for you.  In closing, I would like to personally promise you that, as the leader of the W.E.S. team, we are committed to help make the coming year a positive experience, one day at a time. I look forward to working with you very soon!

Kindly,
Mrs. Tara L. Desiderio, M.Ed. Principal, W.E.S.
